“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”

Every Christian has the opportunity to be a witness for our Lord. We have so many commands throughout the Bible, such as we find in Isaiah 43:10, “Ye are my witnesses saith the Lord.” And also we read in Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” We cannot carry out this command alone.
We need help. And Jesus promised that help for all Christians in the person and power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8, But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
We can acquire the Holy Spirit’s power by the following:
- Empty our vessel of sin, II Timothy 2:20 , self desire to please ourselves, Philippians 3:7, and accomplishments to be seen of others, II Timothy 2:21, through acknowledgement and confession to God. Psalm 51:3,4
- Pray and ask the Lord to fill you with Holy Spirit power, Acts 4:31. Claim the Holy Spirit’s power for your witness to a lost world and He will give you fearless confidence, II Timonthy 1:7, provide you with boldness to speak the Word, Acts 4:31b and you will not be ashamed to bear a witness for Him, II Timothy 1:8
