We Have to Celebrate and Rejoice!

Luke 15:32, “It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad:  for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

44th Annual Daytona Beach, Florida Missions Trip Victory!

Spring break at Daytona Beach, Florida was amazing.  Every day the weather was perfect – low to mid 80’s.

21 Churches from 9 States shared our vision to reach the lost young people who were on those beaches from literally, the entire world.  I know of no other place in the world where there is such a diverse group of people from the entire world gathered in one place.

On Wednesday, the 16th of March, the young people and adult chaperones (team captains) joined together for instructions from Dr. Ron Reilly in how to engage total strangers on the beach in conversation, and then show them from God’s Word how they could know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, repent of their sins, and invite Him into their hearts.  We were able to give them the assurance of their salvation through God’s Word.

We get the name and address of each person who trusts Christ as Savior and follow up with them.

*One thrilling side note – Twenty years ago Dr. Earl Lee, as the President of Landmark Baptist College would bring his college students and join us on this witnessing venture.  There was a student from the Bahamas, his name is Dwaine Johnson.  He came all 4 years while he was a student and won souls to Christ.  He was impressed by the Holy Spirit to start a church in the project area of Daytona Beach.  He and his wife went there and began their church.  Today, they have a nice building and have reached many in that area of Daytona Beach.  On Wednesday night, we took our group and sang, Dr. Reilly preached and the young people yielded themselves to the Lord to be a vessel unto the Lord that could be used to give the Gospel message.

We are so delighted on  the way the Lord is using this outreach in the lives of the young people who yield to the Lord to take part in this tremendous field and enjoy the harvest.  Thirteen young people on this trip won their first soul to Christ.  Many of these teens are from public schools, as well as Christian schools!

God gave us 531 souls saved on this trip!!  Thank you for the tremendous role you played in this missions trip with your prayers on our behalf!  Without the prayers of our friends and God’s people we could not have done it.  We have never experienced the presence and power of the Lord as we did on this missions trip.  Your prayers were felt, and we knew that we had God’s protection and power.  TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Daytona Missions Outreach 2011

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”  Matthew 21:22

I want to take this opportunity to ask you to pray for our 44th Annual Missions Outreach to the youth of America which takes place March 16-19, 2011.  The Lord has blessed us in the past 43 years with 101,236 souls trusting Christ as their Savior.  To God be the glory!

Our prayer is that God will use the young people that are in attendance in a mighty way to witness  with power and that you may experience the joy of winning many young people to Christ.    Hopefully, one of the things they will learn this week is how to trust the Lord for strength and boldness in order to present the gospel in a positive way.

Relying upon the Holy Spirit’s power is the key to all that we do at Daytona.  Let us collectively claim Acts 4:29, “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings:  and grant unto thy servants, That with all boldness they may speak thy word,”  BE BOLD FOR CHRIST!

May God bless you and I thank you in advance for praying for us.  This will be a life changing experience for each one of us and I believe we will all benefit in a wonderful way.  I will give a report in my next “Thoughts to Live By” so you can rejoice.

Reaching the Youth of America,
Ron Reilly
