Dear Pastor,
Dr. Ron Reilly’s recent ministry to our church during Revival Services was not only a real blessing for our homes and families but to our community through some incredible opportunities in the public schools.
I approached the superintendents of two school systems with the proposition of a nationally known youth speaker who could address the topics of motivating students to avoid drugs and alcohol. It happened to be a “Red Ribbon” anti drug theme week. In two days Brother Reilly spoke in six public school assemblies to approximately 1300 students. This, in my opinion, served as pre-evangelism and has opened doors for further opportunities for our church to reach young people. It was definitely a door that the Lord, to my surprise, opened wide!
Let me encourage you to present his biographical information to a superintendent, and to seek to know and abide by their “church/state” limitations. Brother Reilly wisely limited himself graciously to their requests not to “evangelize” a captive audience and there was no objection to Him telling that his faith Christ was what steered him on the right path. It was a win/win at no expense to the school budget, and as you well know Brother Reilly was a hit with the teens.
